Chai is a Chief Investment Officer & Managing Partner at Juniper Hill Capital Management LP.
Mr. Chai was an Obama Administration appointee in the U.S.
Department of the Treasury and a member of its financial crisis response team, which advised Secretary Timothy Geithner on matters related to the 2008 financial crisis.
Before undertaking his public service, he was a managing director and member of the global management committee at Perry Capital, an investment management firm, from 2000 to 2006, based in both New York and Hong Kong.
Mr. Chai began his career as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs in the financial institutions group in New York and in Singapore, where he helped advise insurance companies in the U.S.
in 1995 to 1996 and banks in Asia during the 1997 Asian financial crisis.
He earned an AB, summa cum laude, in economics from Harvard University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar.ss.
