Thompson, CFA MBA, is a Vice President & Portfolio Manager at Lorne Steinberg Wealth Management, Inc. He has 30 years of experience in the investment industry.
Prior to joining LSWM, Mr. Thompson served as president of a boutique investment counselling firm, as president of one of Canada’s oldest and most established full-service investment firms, and as president of a national institutional and retail investment advisory firm.
He has extensive experience in portfolio management, investment advisory, financial planning, insurance and estate planning, investment banking, risk management, portfolio construction and research/analysis.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario, his MBA from McGill University and holds both the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and the Chartered Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
