The firm was founded in 2008 by David A. Tillson and John J. Knox III. Eagle Ridge provides investment management services to individuals and institutional investors through separately managed accounts.

Cramer Rosenthal McGlynn LLC (CRM) is a SEC-registered investment advisor headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut. The firm was founded in 1973 by Gerald Cramer, Edward Rosenthal and Ronald McGlynn. They are owned by CRM 2019 LLC. CRM manages separate accounts for corporate and public pension plans, endowments, foundations, community and religious organizations, as well as individual and family trusts, estates, and high-net-worth individuals.
