David Jonathan Knee

Mr. David J.
Knee is a Chief Investment Officer at M&G Investment Managers (Pty) Ltd.
He joined Prudential in South Africa as Head of Fixed Income in December 2008, and became Chief Investment Officer in July 2016.
Alongside his CIO role, Mr. Knee is joint Portfolio Manager of several Prudential funds.
He is also a member of Prudential’s Asset Allocation Committee, responsible for actively determining asset weightings across our multi-asset funds.
He joined the Prudential Group in London as part of the Fixed Income Team in 1997, and transferred to the South African office at the end of 2008.
Prior to working at Prudential, Mr. Knee managed fixed income portfolios for another London-based asset manager, and in the early 1990s he was employed as a Fixed Income Economist for an investment bank.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from London School of Economics and a Master of Science in Economics from Birkbeck College.
He is also an Associate of the Society of Investment Professionals.
