Dr. Murad is Director of the Brown Foundation Institute of Molecular Medicine for the Prevention of Human Diseases, Director of the Research Center for Cell Signaling, the John S.
Dunn, Sr. Distinguished Chair in Physiology and Medicine and Chairman of the Department of Integrative Biology and Pharmacology at The University of Texas at Houston - Medical School.

He is a member of the National Academy of Science, a member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Science, and Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
