Ontario Food Terminal Board is a wholesale fruit and produce distribution center located in Toronto, Canada. Established in 1954 by George Frank Perkin, it is the largest wholesale fruit and produce distribution center in Canada and the third largest in North America. The terminal provides a safe and reliable food supply to the people of Ontario and supports local farmers, local fruit and vegetable stores, independent and chain supermarkets, retailers, restaurants, foodservice, caterers, farmers’ markets, farm gate markets, florists, garden centers, landscapers, convenience stores, and institutions. The terminal site consists of a farmer’s market area with 550 stalls, a warehouse units area, a central cold storage that is 100,000 square feet in size, two restaurants, and a parking deck providing 575 car-parking spaces while covering 4 acres of farmers’ market stalls.
