The Group's principal activity is to develop proprietary drugs, focusing primarily on therapeutic proteins. Its proprietary drug development portfolio currently consists of two therapeutic protein candidates.GlycoPEG-EPO (NE-180) is a long-acting version of erythropoietin (EPO) produced in insect cells. EPO is prescribed to stimulate production of red blood cells, and it gives treatment of chemotherapy-induced anemia and anemia associated with chronic renal failure. Its second proprietary protein, GlycoPEG-GCSF, is a long-acting version of granulocyte colony stimulating factor G-CSF and it is prescribed to stimulate production of neutrophils (a type of white blood cell). Cynvec LLC develops oncolytic therapeutics for the treatment of cancer. It offers cancer treatment platform to activate the body’s own immune system to safely attack tumors and prevent or slow cancer recurrence. The firm develops CYN-101, a bioengineered Sindbis viral vector vaccine expressing the NY-ESO-1 tumor associated antigen for the treatment of late-stage ovarian cancer; and an immunotherapeutic vaccine for multiple possible cancer targets.
