Ghassan S. Kassab

Dr. Kassab is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering, Surgery and Cellular and Integrative Physiology at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).
He is currently the Thomas J.
Linnemeier Guidant Foundation Chair in Biomedical Engineering at IUPUI.
Dr. Kassab is the recipient of the NIH Young Investigator Award and the AHA Established Investigator Award.
He is also a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering and the American Physiological Society (Cardiovascular section).
He serves on the Editorial Board of American Journal of Physiology-Heart and Circulatory Physiology and has previously served as an Associate Editor of Mechanics and Chemistry of Biosystems.
Dr. Kassab has published nearly one hundred peer-reviewed full articles and his current scientific interests encompass cardiovascular biomechanics and cardiovascular devices on which he has twenty patents pending.
