Gunther Bensch

Dr. Gunther Bensch is a Researcher at RWI - Leibniz-Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung e.V.
He is working in the department "Environment and Resources" at RWI.
His general fields of research are environment and energy economics and policy, with a particular emphasis on the empirical evaluation of development policies such as improved cook stoves and electrification interventions.
He has been conducting large-scale household and enterprise surveys in Indonesia, India, and several countries across Africa.
He holds an M.Sc.
from the University of Bonn and a Ph.D.
in Economics from the Ruhr University, Bochum.
