Hiroaki Yamauchi

Mr. Hiroaki Yamauchi is a Managing Director at Roberts Mitani LLC.
Mr. Yamauchi was previously Head of the Structured Finance Department at Daiwa Securities SMBC (a joint venture between Daiwa Securities and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation) where he arranged unique transactions, including the sale & lease back of NEC's head office, non-recourse financing for a residential building developer, and the securitization of office buildings under construction.
Prior to Daiwa SBCM, Mr. Yamauchi worked at Sumitomo Capital Securities in Japan as head of the Underwriting and New Product Departments.
He began his investment banking career in the Merchant Banking Group of Sumitomo Bank and was later seconded to Sumitomo Finance International PLC in London as head of the Underwriting and Syndication Departments.
Mr. Yamauchi received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Osaka University and an MBA from the Stern School at New York University.
