Jan B. Vilhelmsen

Mr. Jan B.
Vilhelmsen is Partner at Absolute Return Partners LLP.
Mr. Vilhelmsen joined ARP as a Partner in September 2004 and has overall responsibility for manager selection and due diligence.
He started his career in Copenhagen at Bjørnskov & Co as an equity research analyst before joining Baltica as a fund manager with responsibility for the insurance company’s Scandinavian and U.S.
portfolios.
In 1992, he moved to London to join Merrill Lynch with the responsibility of building out their institutional U.S.
equity franchise in Scandinavia.
After a successful period with Merrill, he joined Oppenheimer (later CIBC World Markets) in 1996 to take overall responsibility for their U.S.
equity franchise in northern Europe.
In 2000, he was hired by Lehman Brothers to head up the company’s U.S.
equity platform in the German market.
Mr. Vilhelmsen holds a BA from Copenhagen Business School in accounting and finance (HD (R)).
