BCS promotes wider social and economic progress through the advancement of information technology science and practice. BCS offers a range of certifications, scholarships, and higher education qualifications, as well as training providers and adult education centers to help individuals progress in their IT careers. The organization also supports education and learning in the digital space and celebrates the IT industry and the amazing people using tech for good.

The Sri Lanka Association of Software & Service Cos. is based in Colombo, Sri Lanka and was founded by Dushan Travice Columban Soza, W. M. Madura Duminda Ratnayake, and Dinesh Boditha Saparamadu. The company aims to help Sri Lankan IT/BPM companies expand and increase their revenue through exports. SLASSCOM recognizes the challenges and resource-intensive process of identifying and pursuing business opportunities in foreign markets for these companies. Therefore, they have created a platform to address this issue.
