Jelmar de Jong

Prior to joining Oaktree in 2008, Mr. Jelmar de Jong spent ten years at Morgan Stanley Asia in Hong Kong, most recently as an Executive Director in the Mergers and Acquisitions department.
While at Morgan Stanley, he was responsible for the origination and execution of M&A transactions and strategic advisory assignments across the Asia-Pacific region.
Before that, Mr. Jelmar de Jong was an Associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions department at CS First Boston in Hong Kong.
Prior experience includes work at Smith Barney Asia in Hong Kong and Morgan Stanley International in London.
Mr. Jelmar de Jong received a Masters degree in Civil Law from the University of Leiden in The Netherlands and an M.B.A.
from Harvard Business School.
He is a native Dutch speaker.
