Joel Roodman

Prior to Accrue, Mr. Roodman was engaged as a media consultant to FIFA, the international football organization; Major League Gaming, the global governing authority for professional video gaming; Perspective Studios, a leading motion capture animation house; Yari Film Group, an independent film production company; UUSEE, a leading internet portal based in China; Comcast Corporation's VOD network investment’s division; On2 Technologies, a broadband ASP and Viacom's mobile media company StreetBeam.
As well, he served for over six years as a senior executive in domestic and international marketing and distribution for Miramax Films.
As one of the original inmates under the watchful eye of the Weinstein Brothers, he was paroled with good behavior after six successful years.
During his Miramax tenure, he worked on hundreds of ground-breaking independent feature films, including sex, lies & videotape, Pulp Fiction, The Crying Game, Shakespeare In Love, The Piano and Scream, to name a few.
Prior to moving to New York City from his native Canada, Mr. Roodman was a marketing executive with First Choice Pay Television, headed business development for one of the leading film and television production entities, Comweb Corporation and started his career as an account manager at J.
Walter Thompson.
He has produced two feature films, for both Warner Bros.
and Lionsgate, and in his spare time is presently producing a new feature film for his former bosses Harvey & Bob Weinstein.
He has participated as a panelist for the Sundance Film Festival, Toronto Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, Digital Hollywood, CES and NATPE and is a graduate of Kingston Ontario’s St. Lawrence College of Applied Arts & Multiple Choice Questions.
He is also a fanatic Ottawa Senators hockey fan.
