Price has been Vice President-Supply Chain & Customer Service of United States Steel Corp.
since April 2009.
He joined United States Steel as an Operations Trainee at the company's Fairless Works outside of Philadelphia.
Mr. Price moved to Pittsburgh headquarters of United States Steel as Metallurgical Engineer for Tin Products in 1981 and General Supervisor for Tin Mill Metallurgy at the Mon Valley Works' Irvin Plant from 1983 until 1984.
He relocated to Chicago as Senior Metallurgical Engineer in Customer Technical Services for United States Steel.
Mr. Price was named Quality Assurance Manager of Gary Works for United States Steel in 1986 and Manager of Quality Assurance for Mon Valley Works in 1988, Division Manager of Sheet Products at Mon Valley Works in 1991 and District Manager-Customer Technical Services, Manager of Quality Assurance and Manager of Business Services for Gary Works in 1994, Plant Manager of Finishing Operations in 1996, General Manager-Tin Products at Pittsburgh headquarters in 1997, General Manager of the Midwest Plant in 2003, General Manager-Business Planning in 2005.
He received a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Lafayette College in 1969.
