Mattingly has been Senior Vice President of Mobile Satellite Ventures LP since July 2008.
Before Mobile Satellite Ventures, he was President of Satellite Services for COMSAT Corp.
and Lockheed Martin Global Telecommunications from 1997 to 2001 and President of COMSAT International from 2001 to 2002.
Prior to joining COMSAT International, Mr. Mattingly was Senior Vice President and General Manager of OrionNet, Inc. from 1993 to 1994.
Previously, he worked at American Satellite & Video, Inc. from 1982 to 1993.
Mr. Mattingly received a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from George Washington University.
