John J. Kang

Mr. Kang is a Managing Director of The PrivateBank and Trust Company with responsibilities for Trust and Wealth Management business in St. Louis.
Mr. Kang is a licensed attorney and certified public accountant in the State of Missouri, although he no longer engages in private practice.
Mr. Kang graduated from the Washington University School of Business in 1985 with a B.S.
in Accounting.
He joined KPMG Peat Marwick, where he worked for two years as a banking auditor and five years as a management consultant in the national financial institution’s practice.
Mr. Kang graduated cum laude from the Saint Louis University School of Law in 1995, after which he practiced as an estate-planning attorney for four years.
Mr. Kang then joined Northwestern Mutual Life as Director of Advanced Planning in St. Louis where he worked for three years before joining the PrivateBank and Trust Company.
He is affiliated with many organizations, including the American Institute of CPAs, the Missouri Bar Association, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, the American Association of Attorney, and the Republican Central Committee of St. Louis County.
Mr. Kang has been on the Boards of numerous charitable organizations such as the St. Louis ARC, Kids Under Twenty-One, Missouri Planning Council for Developmental Disabilities, and Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.
