John Paul Berkery

Mr. John P.
Berkery is a Partner & Chief Operating Officer at Sona Asset Management (US) LLC.
He Joined firm in September 2016.
He has 19 years of credit market experience.
Mr. Berkery spent the first four years of his career between Bank of America and Credit Suisse Asset Management, trading investment grade credit at the latter.
He then joined Claren Road Asset Management in November 2005 and was promoted to COO of their London office in October 2010.
He worked closely with John Aylward to build Claren Road’s European credit business.
In December 2013, Mr. Berkery was appointed global head of operations, funding and collateral management at Claren Road Asset Management in New York.
He holds a BSc in Political Science and Government from Georgetown University.
