Mr. John W.
Zimmerman, CFA, is Co-Founder & Managing Director at Northern Lights Capital Group.
Prior to merging with Northern Lights in June 2010, he was the founder and chief executive officer of Echelon Capital Group.
Before founding Echelon, he was the executive vice president and managing director of Janus Capital Group from June 2003 to August 2007.
In this role, he grew the institutional business of the firm from $20 billion in assets and 17 employees in 2004, to $54 billion in assets and 65 employees by the end of 2006.
Previously, he served in various investment roles for Banc of America Capital Management, including equity analyst, director of research, strategist, portfolio manager, director of growth strategies, and head of institutional client service.
In 1994, he was selected as Best of the Buyside by Institutional Investor magazine.
His investment background, combined with company management expertise serves as valuable role to the Northern Lights' team.
