Castagnola is a Managing Director & Private Wealth Advisor at Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith, Inc. (Invt Mgmt).
He has been with the firm since July 1999 and is responsible for the team’s San Diego operation.
He applies his extensive institutional consulting experience to constructing, implementing and monitoring financial strategies designed to pursue unique client objectives in the areas of tax minimization, wealth transfer, insurance, investments, and liability management.
He received his M.B.A.
in Finance from San Diego State University and his B.A.
from the University of California at Davis and holds both the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation and the CFP certification awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. He is also a board member of the Department of Finance Advisory Board (FAB) within San Diego State University’s graduate school of business.
