Kaylan Segev

Ms. Segev joined Catamount Ventures in March 2008.
She has worked at various art galleries such as the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art while studying abroad in Melbourne, at the University Gallery at CSU, Chico, and also as an intern at the Hackett-Freedman Gallery in San Francisco.
Previously, she was recognized as the recipient of a Katzenberger fellowship from the Smithsonian Institutions’ Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington D.C.
where she worked in Curatorial Research and in the Department of Arts and Programs.
Her duties included researching the museum’s collection and exhibitions, creating informative materials to be used with the public and teacher workshops, corresponding with guest artists and speakers for Gallery Talks, and also local Universities in sharing the institution’s resources, and assisting with interpretive strategies for future internships and ongoing public programs.
Ms. Segev has recently completed her undergraduate studies at California State University, Chico, receiving two Bachelor of Art degrees in Art History and Art Studio with an emphasis in photography.
