Aircarbon Pte Ltd. is a Singaporean Singapore-based company that operates the Aircarbon Exchange (ACX), a hybrid platform that uses traditional commodities trading infrastructure to standardize the growing market for voluntary carbon offsets. ACX securitizes carbon credits around market demand, allowing traders to gain exposure to a standardized asset class as opposed to individual projects. The exchange offers a traditional trading architecture while using distributed ledger technology to securitize carbon credits into digital receipts, representing a clear line of ownership between the carbon credits held in trust and the digital receipt. ACX is committed to offsetting all its emissions 12 months forward. The company was founded in 2019 by Thomas McMahon, Er. Edwin T.F. Khew, William Pazos, Dorjee Sun, and Thomas McMahon has been the CEO since 2019. On November 16, 2022, Aircarbon was acquired by Mubadala Investment Co. PJSC.
