Headquartered in Cape Town, the firm was founded in 1845 and was originally known as the South African Mutual Life Assurance Society. Old Mutual Customised Solutions (Pty) Ltd. (Customised Solutions) is the asset management subsidiary of Old Mutual Investment Group Holdings (Pty) Ltd., ultimately owned by Old Mutual Ltd. (JSE: OMU) in South Africa. The firm was founded in 2001 as Old Mutual Global Index Trackers (Pty) Ltd. and changed their name to Old Mutual Customised Solutions (Pty) Ltd. in May of 2015. Headquartered in Pinelands, Customised Solutions provides investment advisory services to corporations, corporate pension and profit-sharing plans, insurance companies, collective trusts, various global unit trust funds such as UCITS, investment companies, municipal government entities, and charitable organizations.
