Mark A. Liinamaa

Mr. Mark A.
Liinamaa is Co-Head of Metals & Mining Research at Citigroup Global Markets Asia Ltd.
He is a Director based in Hong Kong and works closely with teams across Asia Pacific (ex-Japan & Australia) in leveraging the work of the country analysts and further build out Citi’s Metals & Mining research platform by working collaboratively with Citi Resesarch’s strong mining franchise around the rest of the world.
He joined Citi from Morgan Stanley & Co., Inc. in New York where he was an Executive Director for metals & mining research since 2002.
In the US, he covered the non-ferrous, gold, coal, steel and rare earth equities.
Prior to JP Morgan, he held various positions at Mining Group Inco Ltd in Canada from 1988-2000, which includes Mining Engineer and Mining Operations Supervisor.
Mr. Liinamaa holds an MBA degree from Ross School of Business at University of Michigan, a Master of Science degree in Applied Physics and Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mining Engineering at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario Canada.
He is also a registered professional mining engineer in Ontario, Canada.
