Mark J. Baker

Mr. Mark J.
Baker is Independent Risk Manager at Hume Capital Management Ltd.
He specialises in hedge funds and oversees risk management on all funds.
Before joining Hume, he was a Co-Founder of Eriswell Capital, a multi-strategy hedge fund; and served on the board at EPIC Asset Management Ltd.
From 1997 to 2002, he specialised in equity volatility arbitrage before extending his knowledge to cover many other forms of arbitrage including mergers, structural/quantitative pairs, convertible and capital structures.
Prior to this, he helped build a new equity derivatives business to generate proprietary revenue and provide pricing for exotic customer-driven structures at First Chicago Bank.
He started his career as a Currency Options Analyst at Citibank.
Mr. Baker has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of York.
