During his career Mr. Scott has invested in over one thousand primarily small cap public and private businesses.
He founded The Volume Investor, Inc. (TVI), Neovest Trading, Inc., an institutional equities research firm in 1992 and merged with Roberts-Slade, Inc. in 1999 to form Neovest Holdings, Inc. Neovest which is recognized as one of Wall Street’s premier electronic trading businesses was sold to J.P Morgan in 2005.
At TVI, Mr. Scott wrote research reports and created investment models based on the study of over 500,000 historical investment situations.
Prior to founding TVI, Mr. Scott served as Vice President of Oppenheimer & Co. for six years where he specialized in equity investments and risk arbitrage.
From 1994 to 1998, he created and managed The Infinity Fund, LP.
He was awarded a Certificate of Achievement in 1997 for his work in "Volume/Supply and Demand Analysis" by the Market Technicians Association and was a member of its Board.
His research has been used as a reference source for financial publications including Barron's, Investor's Business Daily, and The Wall Street Journal.
He has guest lectured around the world to investment professionals and at the university level.
Mr. Scott graduated from the Florida State University School of Business.
He is a director of International Financial Research Alliance, LLC and MKS Capital Partners, and is an advisor to private companies.
He is actively involved in integrity based philanthropy.
