Mr. Mallon joined the company in 1997 and has worked in the financial industry since 1974.
Previously, he served as the value/quantitative CIO where he oversaw the Value, Quantitative Equity, Balanced, Asset Allocation and several sector funds.
Prior to joining American Century, he was with Federated Investors for 18 years, where he was most recently president and chief executive officer of their investment counseling operation and executive vice president of their research organization.
Mr. Mallon is a member of the company's investment oversight committee and its executive committee, a senior leadership group responsible for strategic business decisions.
He also is a member of the portfolio management team that oversees the Capital Value and Large Company Value funds.
Mr. Mallon holds a bachelor's degree in economics business administration from Westminster College and a master's degree in finance from Cornell University.
He is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
