Mark Wetzels

Mark Wetzels, investment director, joined Egeria in May 2004.
Mark is a Dutch citizen and speaks in English, Dutch, Spanish and German.
Prior to joining Egeria, he undertook a MBA at ESADE Business School in Barcelona and Stern School of Business, New York University.
Since 1999 he has worked as an associate in the buyout practice of Gilde Investment Management in Utrecht.
During his time at Gilde he was responsible for more than 6 investments as part of the Benelux mid-market team, as well as several add-on acquisitions for his portfolio companies and three exits.
At Gilde, he was among others responsible for the investment in Ad van Geloven, currently a Portfolio Company of Egeria.
At Egeria Mark is responsible for the investments in Ad van Geloven, Royal Mosa, Tanatex and Nationele Borg.
He started his career in 1993 as a founder of the VMS Group, a European glass and disposables trading company.
In 1999 he negotiated the sale of the company to one of its main competitors.
In addition to his MBA degree, he also holds a Masters in Science degree in Business Administration from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam.
