Mr. Matthew J.
Minnetian, CFA MBA, is a Managing Director at Principal Global Investors LLC and a Director of US Investment Grade Credit at AllianceBernstein LP.
He is also a Senior Vice President of the firm and responsible for developing income-focused investment solutions for global clients across investment-grade and high-yield markets.
He also oversees the firm’s fixed-income investing in the financials sector, including the management of bank hybrid funds.
An expert in managing corporate bond portfolios, he has worked closely with insurance clients to develop buy and hold, liability matching, and total return investment strategies to meet the distinct needs of insurance companies.
He has over 30 years of industry experience.
Prior to joining AB, Mr. Minnetian was a senior fixed-income credit research analyst at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, where he covered investment-grade and high-yield insurance credits.
Previously, he followed the insurance sector as an analyst in DLJ’s Equity Research Group and as an industry analyst at Marsh & McLennan.
Mr. Minnetian holds a BA in economics and an MBA, both from Columbia University, and is a CFA charterholder.
