Michael Barnes joined Intevac, Inc. in February 2006 as Vice President and Chief Technical Officer.
Previously, Dr. Barnes was General Manager for the High Density Plasma Chemical Vapor Deposition Business Unit of Novellus Systems from March 2004 to February 2006, Vice President of Technology for Nanosys from January 2004 to March 2004 and Vice President of Engineering for OnWafer Technologies from August 2003 to January 2004.
From April 1998 to August 2003, he was employed by Applied Materials, where he was Managing Director and Vice President of Etch Engineering and Technology.
Dr. Barnes received a BS degree, an MS degree and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
