Michael Powers

Michael Powers is based in Toronto and leads global fund relationships for Teachers’ Venture Growth (TVG).
Since 2015, Michael has been involved in the origination, evaluation, execution and post-investment monitoring of venture capital and growth equity fund investments.
Michael has worked at Ontario Teachers' since 2008.
Previously, he was part of Private Capital's Portfolio Management team, where he was responsible for portfolio analytics and helping oversee the operational aspects of the department.
Prior to this, he conducted operational due diligence on the Plan's hedge fund portfolio.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies degree from Western University, with a specialization in Finance.
He is also a CFA charterholder.
