The Thurgood Marshall Center Trust, Inc. is an organization based in Washington that aims to educate, encourage, and empower children, youth, and families to pursue equality, social and economic justice through dialogue and collective action. The organization facilitates collaborative efforts, cultivates meaningful relationships with community and faith-based partners, government leadership and agencies, business, and the community-at-large, and provides educational programs that help participants celebrate the richness of their cultural history and meet the challenges in their lives. The Thurgood Marshall Center for Service and Heritage, which is over a century old, is owned and operated by the organization and serves as a venue for events and activities. The organization also celebrates the life and legacy of honorary board chair Cecilia S. Marshall, civil rights activist and beloved wife of the late Justice Thurgood Marshall.
