Energy Queensland Ltd. is an Australian government-owned electricity company that delivers electricity across Queensland through its poles and wires businesses, Energex and Ergon Energy Network. The private company is based in Townsville, Australia. The company energizes the lives of over five million Queenslanders through their extensive network of over 200,000 kilometers of electricity networks and 33 stand-alone microgrids. The company's retailer, Ergon Energy Retail, sells electricity to its 758,000 customers throughout regional Queensland, making them the fourth largest retailer in the National Electricity Market (NEM). Energy Queensland is the largest power company in Queensland, created by merging Energex and Ergon Energy. Rod Duke has been the CEO of the company since 2020.
