Dr. Philip R.
Baumann is Partner at Bank La Roche & Co AG.
In 1988 he joined Bank Sarasin & Co. This was followed, in 1992 and 1993, by periods spent in New York, Paris and London.
In January 1994 he was made a partner of Bank Sarasin & Co., where he was responsible for the private clients and tax advice departments in Basel.
From 2004 to 2009 he practised as an independent lawyer and partner in the firm of Thomann Fischer.
At the beginning of 2010 he was made a partner of La Roche 1787, private bankers.
He represents the Swiss Private Bankers Association on the Commission for Law and Compliance (KORECO) of the Swiss Bankers Association.
He holds honorary positions on the committees of a number of cultural and charitable organisations.
Dr. Baumann studied law at the Universities of Basel and Bern.
He was awarded a doctorate in law with a thesis on stock call options
