Ralph C. Kerns

Ralph C.
Kerns joined Intevac, Inc. in August 2003 as Vice President of Business Development for the Equipment Products Division.
From April 1997 to November 2002, he was employed by Applied Materials, most recently as Managing Director of Business Development for the Process Modules Group.
Previously, Dr. Kerns was General Manager for the Metal Etch Division of Applied Materials from 2000 to 2002, Senior Director-North America Multinational Accounts from 1998 to 2000 and General Manager for the Dielectric Etch Division from 1997 to 1998.
He received a BS degree in Chemistry from the University of Idaho and a PhD in Theoretical Chemistry from Princeton University.
