Wijeratnam is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director at Ceylon Cold Stores Plc.
She is also a Member-Editorial Board at the National Science Foundation of Sri Lanka and the President of the Sri Lanka Girl Guides Association.
Previously, she served as the Chairman of the Institute of Post Harvest Technology and as the Director-Research & Development at the Industrial Technology Institute.
Dr. Wijeratnam holds a doctorate degree from the University of Cambridge and an undergraduate degree from University College London.
