Roy Trayhern

Mr. Trayhern established a long and successful track record with Smith & Nephew plc, where he was President of several divisions, most recently as President of Dermagraft Joint Venture between 2000 and 2006.
Based in California, he took the human cell based technology through regulatory approval and into commercialization.
In the prior ten years, he was President of Smith & Nephew Canada and a member of the Smith & Nephew North American Management Board.
During his time with the Canadian company he was responsible for reshaping strategies and for significant restructuring of local operations.
Mr. Trayhern served on the MEDEC board (Canada’s Medical Device Trade Association), from 1993 until 1999, where he became Chairman and was actively involved in the consultations with government for the introduction of new risk classification and cost sharing regulations for medical devices.
