Sarita K. Jain

Dr. Jain joined Johnson & Johnson Development Corporation in 2008.
She focuses on equity investments in innovative pharmaceutical and biotech companies and is primarily responsible for investments on the West Coast.
Prior to joining J&J, Dr. Jain previously served as Associate Director, Corporate and Business Development at PDL BioPharma, a biopharmaceutical company.
While at PDL, she was responsible for identifying, evaluating and executing new strategic partnerships and licensing transactions for products, technologies and intellectual property.
Prior to PDL, Dr. Jain served as Director of Business Development at Renovis, Inc., a biotechnology company, and was responsible for sourcing and negotiating collaboration and licensing agreements to complement Renovis research and clinical programs and pipeline and to support the company's drug discovery and development efforts.
Previously, she was a scientist at Pangene Corporation, a privately-held biotechnology company.
Dr. Jain holds a BA in biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley and a Ph.D.
in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
She was a postdoctoral fellow in the department of cellular and molecular pharmacology at the University of California, San Francisco.
She holds a MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
