Young is a Chief Compliance & Chief Operations Officer at RB Capital Management LLC.
He develops and implements policies and procedures to keep the Firm running smoothly and in conformity with SEC regulations.
As a Senior Investment Analyst, Shawn researches mutual funds and other investment opportunities, creates client portfolio reports, and develops proprietary software to automate processes using Python and Excel VBA code.
Shawn also serves as an Investment Advisor helping clients achieve their financial goals.
He has been associated with RB Capital Management, LLC since 2004.
Prior to joining RB Capital Management, Shawn spent five years as a business partner who helped orchestrate the development of a specialty-retail chain located throughout California, and nine years performing technical and managerial work for the US Department of Defense.
He also spent one year as a Strategic Sourcing Analyst at UCLA where he evaluated large data sets to identify cost savings opportunities for the campus.
He earned a BS in Mathematics from the University of California, Davis, and a MS in Applied and Computational Mathematics from Johns Hopkins University.
