The Elmhurst Foundation is a social enterprise based in Bath, UK. In March 2017, the foundation purchased Combe Grove Manor, a Georgian country house hotel located just over one mile from the center of Bath. The foundation creates high-quality apprenticeships for local students in various departments such as administration, hotel management, catering, marketing, finance, hospitality, customer services, traditional building crafts & conservation, estate management, and horticulture. The foundation plans to transform Combe Grove into a center for work-based learning excellence, offering enhanced apprenticeships for local people. Combe Grove will continue to operate as a hotel with a focus on holistic health & wellbeing, and the longer-term vision is to evolve it into a unique health retreat for modern living. The estate's tranquil woodland setting and outstanding views will offer a range of daily and residential courses in yoga, meditation, and mindfulness, alongside practical courses such as woodland management, dry-stone walling, and hedge-laying. The foundation's supporters provide the infrastructure and financial means to ensure the perpetual provision of Elmhurst Foundation apprenticeships.
