Taka Nakagawa

Mr. Taka Nakagawa is Senior Director at Tyr Capital LLC.
Prior to joining Tyr, Mr. Nakagawa was Vice President of Business Development for Diamond Generating Corporation.
Mr. Nakagawa was responsible for developing business plans for growth, managing development team and evaluating new business opportunities, including green field development and acquisition.
When pursuing development or acquisition, he was responsible for leading the transaction team through completion, which includes negotiating various contracts such as long term procurement contract, share purchase contract, structured (non-recourse) financing agreement and joint development agreement.
Specific project accomplishments include acquisition of two peaking facilities in California (2004) and acquisition of a cogeneration facility in Illinois (2005).
Prior to Diamond, Mr. Nakagawa was Manager for Mitsubishi Corporation of Tokyo Japan, where he gained extensive experience in project development, financial and risk analysis and financing of international power projects.
He was involved in projects in countries such as Indonesia, Vietnam, Jordan, Kenya, United Kingdom, Poland and Mexico.
In particular, Mr. Nakagawa led the negotiation of $200+mil non-recourse financing for a project in Mexico, involving both institutional and commercial banks.
Mr. Nakagawa was awarded an MBA from Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1995 and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Keio University in 1986.
