The firm was founded in 1966 as Despa (Deutsche Sparkassen-Immobilien-anlage-Gesellschaft mbH). They are wholly owned by DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale, a subsidiary of Deutscher Sparkassen-und Giroverband eV. DIIG is the investment fund manager for both fund products related to real estate and infrastructure as well as investment funds related to financing. In addition to open-ended real estate mutual funds and special real estate funds with different regional and sectoral investment strategies as well as real estate funds of funds, the firm offers a comprehensive range of tailor-made solutions.
