Laming is Lead Portfolio Manager at Scout Investments, Inc.
Prior to joining Scout in 2009, Mr. Laming served as President and Chief Investment Officer of TrendStar Advisors, LLC, a firm he founded in 2003.
His financial industry experience includes roles with Kornitzer Capital Management, Inc. At KCM, he was the chief equity strategist for Buffalo Mutual Funds and a co-lead portfolio manager for all equity funds.
These included the Buffalo Small Cap, Mid Cap, Large Cap, USA Global, and Science & Technology funds.
He also worked as a technology analyst with Waddell & Reed.
He has over 25 years of financial industry experience.
He has had roles dealing with spacecraft design as a senior engineer at Martin Marietta and as a staff engineer with TRW at the Johnson Space Center and at TRW’s Space Park Facility.
He is a senior member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
Mr. Laming earned his MBA from Indiana University, a Master of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science degree, with highest distinction, in Physics from the University of Kansas.
