Mr. Bevirt has 20 years of experience in the metropolitan Washington, D.C.
commercial real estate industry.
Before joining CarrAmerica, he served as Senior Vice President with Cassidy & Pinkard in Washington, D.C.
for ten years.
Prior to joining Cassidy & Pinkard, Mr. Bevirt was with Barrueta & Associates.
During his tenure at Cassidy & Pinkard and at Barrueta, Mr. Bevirt was responsible for the leasing of more than 40 downtown and suburban office projects totaling four million square feet.
In addition, Mr. Bevirt has represented Washington area tenants in lease transactions totaling one million square feet.
Mr. Bevirt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture and a Master of Science degree in Urban Planning from Purdue University.
In addition, Mr. Bevirt is: President-Elect for the Washington, D.C.
Association of Realtors (WDCAR), past President of The Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors (GWCAR), and a life member of the Million Dollar Leasing Club as well as a past member of the organization's board of directors as Regional Chairman for the District of Columbia.
In 2003, Mr. Bevirt was named "Realtor of the Year" by the GWCAR and, in 2004, named "Realtor of the Year" by WDCAR.
Also, Mr. Bevirt is the recipient of the distinguished "Patrick J.
Cassidy Founders Tribute," a member of the Greater Washington Board of Trade and has served on the Board of Directors for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society as its Vice-Chairman for Fund Raising.
