Charles D. McConnell is on the board of Metals Acquisition Corp. and Executive Director-Carbon Management at the University of Houston.

He previously occupied the position of Vice President-Carbon Management at Battelle Energy Technology and Assistant Secretary-Energy at US Department of Energy (District of Columbia).

He received an undergraduate degree from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from Cleveland State University.
