He is Chairman at Defence Therapeutics Inc.

He is also on the board of XPhyto Therapeutics Corp. and Director-Drug Development & Innovation Center at the University of Alberta.

In his past career he held the position of President for Canadian Society for Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Dr. Löbenberg received an undergraduate degree from The Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz and a doctorate from Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main.
