Patel, CFA, is a Managing Director at CIBC Private Wealth Advisors, Inc. and a Chief Executive Officer at Maryland Health Management LLC.
At CIBC, he is an investment portfolio manager and co-heads the hedge fund research efforts within the Multi-Manager Investment Program (MMIP), based in New York.
With over 15 years of industry experience, he is responsible for managing the MMIP hedge fund platform.
Prior to joining the CIBC in 2007, Mr. Patel was a research analyst for Asset Alliance.
His responsibilities included assisting the chief investment officer in hedge fund portfolio construction and quantitative research for the firm’s multi-strategy, long/short equity and CTA-focused fund of funds.
Prior to Asset Alliance, he worked as an analyst in the Interest Rate Derivatives Group for Bank of America, where he helped analyze risk for derivative portfolios.
He started his career as an institutional equity trader employing quantitative trading strategies with BNY Mellon’s Quantitative Equity Trading Group (QETG).
He earned a Bachelor of Science in finance from Rutgers University and a Master of Science in financial engineering with honors from the New York University (NYU) Tandon School of Engineering.
He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Jigar Raythatha is passionate about building great teams that can advance life-changing medicines.
Prior to joining Third Rock Ventures, he served as president and chief executive officer of Constellation Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 2017 until its acquisition in 2021.
Jigar also led the corporate development function at Constellation from 2009 to 2013.
Jigar re-joined Constellation from Jounce Therapeutics Inc., where he held the role of chief business officer from the inception of the company through its IPO.
Previously, Jigar worked with Red Abbey Venture Partners, initially, as a Kauffman Fellow and later as a principal and venture partner.
Earlier in his career, Jigar held roles of increasing responsibility at Biogen and A.T.
Kearney.
He earned an MBA from Columbia University and a B.A.
in biochemistry and economics from Rutgers University.
Jigar is currently a member of the board of directors at Jounce Therapeutics (JNCE) and the American Cancer Society New England Area.
