April Lindauer

April Lindauer is the General Counsel (GC) at Carta where she leads Carta’s Legal and Compliance functions and is responsible for providing legal and regulatory advice to Carta’s fast growing businesses.
In her nearly five years at Carta, April has had a massive impact on the business, working with the SEC in establishing Carta’s liquidity solutions (CartaX) and scaling internal legal and compliance programs.
Prior to becoming GC at Carta, April was Deputy General Counsel at Carta, where she led several efforts to build and scale Carta’s legal team with the company’s tremendous growth.
She has twenty years of legal and compliance experience in the financial services industry.
April earned her Bachelor of Arts (A.B.) in Psychology from the University of Chicago, and her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from DePaul University College of Law.
