Prior to joining Condor Capital in 1995, Dr. Schapiro retired from his practice as a family physician and President of Schapiro Solutions, Inc., the successor company of his medical practice corporation.
After serving for two years in the US Air Force Medical Corps as a flight surgeon, he has served his community for many years as a family physician, and since 1960 has continued to be a member of the medical staff of Hunterdon Medical Center.
Dr. Schapiro received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chemistry and Philosophy from Cornell University with distinction, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa honorary fraternity, and received his M.D.
in medicine from New York University School of Medicine.
He is currently a member of the following organizations: American Medical Association, New Jersey; Hunterdon County Medical Societies; American Academy of Family Practice, New Jersey and Hunterdon County Practice Societies.
Dr. Schapiro served as director of the Flemington National Bank (now Summit Bank) from 1980 to 1995.
He chaired the loan committee from 1991-1995, and served as Chair of the Consent Committee under appointment from the Controller of the Currency, USA, from 1991 to 1994.
He was also a member of the Asset & Liability Committee from 1987 to 1995.
