Prior to joining Astor, Mr. Hoshor began his career at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, holding several trading and managerial positions in currency and risk arbitrage.
They included being an Index Arbitrager in the NASDAQ 100 where he managed all cash hedges, a Currency Arbitrage Trader and Risk Manager for the proprietary forward interest rate position, and a self-trader in the NASDAQ 100 and currency pits.
Following his experience at the CME, Mr. Hoshor was a statistical arbitrage trader for K&K Capital Management.
At K&K, he was responsible for daily trading of the largest capitalized stocks listed on the NASDAQ and NYSE.
He was also an examiner of managers involved in the firm’s fund of funds and provided consultation on implementing and improving statistical systems.
